If you didn’t know her, you probably wouldn’t guess that Kim Savage finished a marathon a few short years ago. But she did, and she has the medal to prove it! Ask her about it and she’ll tell you that she finished that race with a combination of dogged preparation and sheer determination.
And as if that isn’t impressive enough, Kim has now set her sights on hiking the Appalachian Trail. And once she gets started on that challenge, it’ll be like everything else she sets her sights on in life – a challenge she’ll see through to the end with fierce determination and hard work.
That’s the very same way Kim advocates for her clients. Hard work, strong determination, and with her eye on the end goal.
Kim loves to be active and she’s always up for a new adventure. The bigger the challenge, the better. She’s competitive, persistent, and goal-oriented, and she understands that preparation is the key to bigger and better accomplishments. That’s what makes her personality and attitude perfect for the practice of law. She cares deeply about her clients, and it shows.
Kim applies her natural competitiveness and persistence to every case, constantly seeking creative solutions that might lead to the best long-term outcomes for our clients. And while she’s always willing to negotiate, she’s never been afraid to take on a fight in family court.
Kim was offered a full scholarship to attend MSU Law as a King Scholar. She now has a total of three degrees from Michigan State – a B.A. in General Business Administration, a M.A in Accounting (Tax Concentration), and her Juris Doctorate.
After completing both master’s degrees while attending law school, and while working full time, Kim began her legal career at Consumers Energy practicing real estate and right of way law. Later, after leaving Consumers, she ran a successful solo practice for over ten years, gaining valuable experience that serves her well in her advocacy for our family law clients.
When she’s not working or exercising, you might find Kim in her backyard, wrangling her “girls” – six sassy young chickens she loves and plans to keep around for as long as she can Or, you might find her in her garden, pulling dandelions and hoping that someday her efforts will produce more vegetables than weeds.
Kim has two teenage children with her partner of nearly thirty years, and at the moment, one very spoiled dog. All of this is to say that Kim Savage is well rounded, well grounded and well equipped to help our clients with their divorce, custody and other family law problems.
