Rebecca Kerr: “My approach to family law matters is one that encourages cooperation and a strong effort to resolve cases without need for extensive litigation whenever possible. If the situation involves minor children, I will always advocate for my clients with the best interest of their minor child(ren) in mind.”
“My clients benefit from my personalized approach and commitment to each and every client. I approach every client with a focus on compassion, integrity, advocacy, and understanding. I will be your strongest advocate and team member.”
Rebecca has been practicing law as a Family Law attorney since 2015, following a special and general education K-12 teaching career of over 20 years. Her decades of experience as a teacher brings an entirely refreshing perspective to her understanding of families and their children, and the need to resolve family law cases with the least amount of damage possible. She is a zealous advocate for case settlement and mediation rather than litigation.
Rebecca is the proud mother of three adult children. A vegetarian since the age of sixteen, Rebecca loves animals including her own cats. In her spare time, she enjoys reality television, travel, and spending time with family and friends. She is also an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church, and she performs marriage ceremonies throughout the State of Michigan.
Rebecca graduated Cum Laude at Western Michigan University Cooley School of Law – Ann Arbor Campus. She obtained her degree by attending full-time evening classes while she was teaching full-time. She was on the Honor Roll and Dean’s List for all 9 terms, and was awarded three certificates of merit (highest score in the class).
